As any sole trader knows, one of the worst things that can happen for your business is falling ill or having a medical emergency.
This exact thing happened to me recently. And it didn’t just happen, it happened at my busiest and craziest time of year. On 30 December 2017 with fifteen self-assessments still to file by 31 January 2018, a VAT return due for submission by 7 January 2018 and a statutory company deadline, I wasn’t sure how I was going to do it all.
But somehow, it all got done.
I dug deep, as they say. There was no way I was going to let any of my clients down.
Now with all deadlines out of the way for another month, I’m taking some time-off to recuperate properly and recharge my batteries. When I return on 19 February 2018 everything will be back to normal and our usual levels of service will resume. Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding during all of this and I am pleased to report that subject to a routine consultant review I appear to be fully recovered!
